Scrambling is rapidly becoming an extremely popular mountain pastime. A fantastic way to ascend remote ground to a summit, offering the scrambler stunning viewpoints normally out of the reach of hillwalkers.

welsh classic scrambles
The mountains of Snowdonia have amongst them some of the country's finest scrambling. Whether you fancy an exciting route to the summit, or a challenging ascent using ropes and harnesses, both the 2 day and 5 day courses are for you.
No. of Days Instruction: 2 and 5 day courses
Ratio: Up to 3 people per instructor.
Previous experience: Summer hillwalking experience, good level of personal fitness.

skye classic scrambles
Skye offers some of the best scrambling in Britain, one of the most famous being the Cullin Ridge. Cirrus Outdoor will guide you during your time on Skye, working together to decide the best routes for the day’s weather conditions. Scrambling on Skye is an experience that should not be missed by any enthusiastic mountaineer.

lakeland classic scrambles
The Lake District is an idyllic location for scrambling, where classic rock ridges descend from famous peaks into beautiful valleys. Cirrus Outdoor will give you the experience of ascending these peaks via exposed and exciting scrambles.

scrambling skills
Have you ever seen a ridge whilst out walking and wished you knew how to climb it safely? On the scrambling skills course, you will be instructed on route choice, guide books and basic rope work.
No. of Days Instruction: 2
Ratio: Up to 3 people per instructor.
Previous experience: Summer hillwalking experience.

winter ridge scrambles - scotland
Scotland has some of the best winter scrambling in Britain. During this course, you will be introduced to the correct use of the ice axe and movement on rock and ice wearing crampons. Armed with these skills you will be ready to tackle some of Scotland’s most famous ridges: Forcan Ridge, Curved Ridge, Aonach Eagach and possibly Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis.
No. of Days Instruction: 5

Previous experience: Summer hillwalking experience, good level of personal fitness.
