Cirrus Outdoor can provide a large selection of walking courses for all standards of clients, from the low level walker to the aspiring Munro bagger.

As with all of our courses, we only use professionally qualified Instructors and Leaders, which allows you to relax and enjoy your break, knowing that you are in the safe hands of our local, knowledgeable staff.

Whether a summer walking course or a winter walking course, we will take the time to improve your walking and navigation skills. This will enable you to return home with the confidence to practice when on your own excursions into the hills.

5 day walking break
During this five day guided walking break in beautiful Snowdonia you will be guided up the classic mountains of North Wales. Throughout the day, you will be instructed in mountain navigation and items of local history and interest.

Previous experience: None, good level of personal fitness.

3 day walking break
You will be guided over the three main ranges in the Snowdonia National Park, taking in such peaks as Snowdon, Tryfan, the Glyders and Carnedd Llywelyn. If there is a specific peak that your group wish to do then your Instructor/Leader will be more than happy to help you.

weekend walking break
During this break we make the most of the weather conditions, enabling us to best use the short time you are with us. One thing is for certain, you will be in the safest of hands to ensure you have a great time.

lakeland classic walking
The Lake District is a stunning venue for walking, offering all standards of walks, from challenging summits to easy valleys. With many years experience of walking in the Lake District, our instructors will guide you through its stunning scenery whilst helping you to improve your walking and navigational skills.

Previous experience: Summer hillwalking experience, good level of personal fitness.

welsh 3000's
There are 14 peaks above 3000 feet in Snowdonia. Cirrus Outdoor will help you to achieve the challenge of completing all 14 peaks, during a long weekend break. During the three days you will summit some of the most famous peaks in Britain under the guidance of one of our professional Instructors/ Leaders. The route will be divided into three sections: the Carneddau, the Glyders and the Snowdon massif.

winter walking

Walking the hills of the UK in winter conditions is a challenging and rewarding experience, which allows you to see the mountains from a new perspective.

welsh winter walking
Having experienced the hills of Snowdonia in Summer conditions, you should also experience them in the winter. Whilst full winter conditions cannot be guaranteed, our instructors will take you into the mountains whatever the weather, giving you lots of experiences to share around an open fire.
Ratio: Up to 6 people per instructor.
Previous experience: Summer hillwalking experience, good level of personal fitness.

scottish winter walking
The Scottish mountains in full winter conditions are a must for any walker. Our instructors will guide you through the use of ice axes and crampons, which will allow you to tackle safely, some of Scotland's most famous Munros.
Ratio: Up to 6 people per instructor.
Previous experience: Summer hillwalking experience, very good level of personal fitness.
